Q: How do I submit an image?
A: You must be a SAGES member to upload images. To upload images please do the following:
- Log into www.sages.org with your email & password
- Find the iMages menu item on the left hand side of the screen
- Click the iMages menu item to enter the library
- Once you are in the iMAGES Library, Select the Upload Images from the left hand menu.
- Complete the on line form to upload your specified image
Q: Which image formats can I upload?
A: Images must be uploaded in either GIF or JPG formats.
Q: How do I view images I have uploaded?
A: Select the My Images item from the left hand menu in the iMages Library
Q: How can I find a particular image?
A: Select the Search item from the left hand menu in the iMages Library and fill in the
criteria you would like to search for.
Q: How do I review an image?
A: Select the particular image you would like to review and select the review this image link on the bottom right hand side of the image view screen.
Q: How do I report an improper image submission (improper content or use of copyrighted material)?
A: Select the particular image you would like to report and select the report abuse link directly below the image display.
Q: I am a SAGES member; can I download and revise an image?
A: Yes, SAGES members can revise images downloaded from iMAGES and re-upload them as long as proper credit is given to the parent image. The image upload process includes a mechanism to identify the parent image.
Q: I am a SAGES member; can I use a downloaded image in a professional publication or presentation?
A: Yes, SAGES members are more than welcome to use images from the iMAGES community for professional use. Credit must be given to both SAGES and each contributing author of the image in question (see Terms of Service)
Q: How do I identify the author string of a particular image?
A: Select the particular image in question and refer to the identification info directly to the right of the image display. The author listed under the submitted by field is the original author. If the image is a revision of a parent image, the complete author string is identified under the Authors field.
Q: How do I Properly Cite an Image?
A: You may use any image for presentation or publication given the following statement is placed at the bottom of the image:
"Published with Permission from SAGES, and (Author Name)" Click here for example.
